The Sydney Chapter of Neurons.AI kicked off last week with our first meet up at Harts Pub in the Rocks with a great bunch of open minded and intellectual people attending.
We’d like to thank our first guest speaker Tristan Sasse, who showcased how AI has helped map and timeline damaging levels of carbon in our seas. This research used several leading AI technologies and down to a detailed level of coding illustrated how you can apply AI. The benefits of the research help environment protection groups and fisheries predict the future to plan and avoid significant environmental and economic issues created by these high levels of pollutants.
Clearly a hot topic, many questions flowed throughout the presentation giving a rich, practical conversation at the cutting edge of AI.
We started and ended the evening with networking and enjoyed meeting a great mix of people from research scientists, business people, analysts, artificial intelligence consultants and people new to AI all exploring how they can participate.
Drinks and nibbles were kindly supplied by AWS and we thank them for their kind support.
We look forward to hosting another in two months so please do come and join us. To stay connected please follow us on LinkedIn and Meetup.
