What is in it
Portfolio prioritisation, and a worked example
The Realising Strategic Value Community of Practice brings together program and project practitioners, stakeholders and delivery teams to share what is working in value and benefits management.
The September 2026 session took prioritisation as its focus topic: how the choices an organisation makes about its portfolio connect strategy to the work that actually gets funded. The pack sets out where value governance sits alongside delivery governance, how investments can be grouped as transform, grow and run, and where discretionary spending sits against the legal and mandatory work that has to happen. It closes with an applied example of a prioritisation tool.
Sessions run under Chatham House Rules, so the pack carries the thinking and the methods rather than who said what.
