Virtual Healthcare Business Case

Project
A state health department had a diverse range of virtual and remote health care services running out of hospitals across the state. They required a business case which would support a consolidated and standardised funding for those services as well as supporting requirements across the subsequent ten years.
Results
Our Doll Martin Associates health team developed a business case which extracted informed costs from existing services, determined costed implementation benefits assessments and identified a preferred options and a forward approach to the funding and delivery of virtual care services.
The project included developing common definitions for virtual care, comparison of programs to determine end-to-end virtual care approaches, the extraction of operational and financial data from multiple sources to inform likely implementation rates and costs, and the explorations of several options before established a Treasury-compliant business case based around the preferred approach.
