Independent Health Market Scan

Project
A state health department required the procurement of a picturing arching and communications system that could meet the internal needs of the hospital system as well as be an accessible platform for primary healthcare providers to be able to view radiology imaging. To inform procurement, the department was seeking independent, vendor-agnostic advice on which solutions were available in the market that would meet their requirements.
Results
Our team delivered an independent market scan and assessment that evaluated the position of six shortlisted providers, identifying the services they offered, the security and access arrangements available, the integration they could achieve with primary care, the implementation approach of each solution and each solution’s the pricing model and indicative pricing.
The market scan leveraged requirements developed for the intended solution and was informed greatly by health market knowledge and experience of our team. The scan process involved the initial identification of a 21 member longlist, the selection of a shortlist, and a transparent evaluation of the shortlist based on clear and practical criteria. The market scan was key in informing the drafting of the eventual Request for Tender and the targeting of respondents.
